Client

Berberè was founded in 2010 with the mission of serving delicious artisan pizza made only with live sourdough, easily digestible and with no frills in a stylish yet cozy environment. Organic, quality ingredients are their only gospel. Today the chain owns 15 pizzerias in Italy and 1 in London.

Challenge

For its third opening in Bologna in March 2022 Berberè chose the city’s Porta Saragozza district, an area with an ancient, elegant charm, mostly residential but with a strong presence of offices and small businesses. It was important for the new restaurant to make a name for itself in this part of the city, a very different area from the university district where Berberè’s second Bologna restaurant is located. The opening campaign had to be pervasive and cover the entire city, with a look&feel combining tradition and contemporariness and making the brand recognizable at first glance.

Our solution

Together with architect Gianbattista Ghersi from the firm Avamposti Architettura we gave the restaurant a makeover to give it a more welcoming feel, both in its interior spaces and outdoor area, by using attractive colors like powder pink, yellow and gold, vintage-style lighting and wooden ceilings.

Interior look and feel

For Berberè’s new Porta Saragozza location we came up with a refined look&feel, carefully designed down to the smallest details. The walls are decorated with a new piece of street art by the artists of To-Let, taking up one of the iconic colors of Berberè’s brand identity and featuring natural shapes that lead to the outdoor garden. Vintage-style wall décor showcases the key points of Berberè’s philosophy.
